7 years ago my wife and I started enjoying Cerritos and El Pescadero Baja CA every Winter. It’s started as a way to escape the cold and have some fun during the long, dark days of Winter with our son. Warm days, pristine water, and a community that feels like family. Over the years, it’s become so much more than a way to escape. It has become a time to pause and walk back home to everything that is important. It has become a time for us pause and step away from the chaos, reflect on the previous year and get clear about where we’re going.
In my work coaching business owners and entrepreneurs, and in my own experience as a business owner and father, I have found that most of us are spread so thin in Q4 that by the time Q1 comes around we already feel like we’re playing catching up. While there may be an intention for what the year will bring, it’s often only an idea and it’s rarely progressed into a clear vision or a solid plan. And yet, having a clear, bold vision and a solid strategy and plan is one of the most powerful things a leader can for their business.
Over the years, I’ve also thought about how I might share the magic of Baja (and all that it’s become for me with others). That’s why I am so beyond excited to be creating a Mastermind Retreat in Baja with my friend and colleague Marssie Versola.
